Here at Wessex Country Gammons we are a Wholesale Distribution service making and delivering speciality foods to over 18 counties and we are continuing to grow! We are looking for a dedicated hard working driver who is proud to be part of our amazing Team and our incredible brand. Our drivers are at the face of our customer service so this role is about more than driving, it is about offering a friendly service whilst delivering with a smile.

We are based in Woolsbridge Industrial Estate, Three Legged Cross and have 5 Industrial Units employing over 35 people.

Working Week:

- Range of start times, as early as 2am through to 9-10am , no late shifts.

- New distribution routes to: Kent, London, Midlands (Birmingham, Coventry Regions) Manchester.

- Monday to Friday, some routes may require an overnight stay for longer trips.

- 40 hours a week minimum

- Weekly Pay

- No Weekends / evenings

Delivery Driver Duties & Responsibilities:

Loading, transporting, and delivering products in a safe and timely way to customers.
Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that they are complete, and the client is happy.
Assisting with the loading and unloading of vehicles’ contents.
Answering questions and dealing with any customer needs, while providing exceptional customer service.
Following timetables and adhering to prescribed routes.
Following all traffic regulations and having a clean driving record.
Creating reports and other delivery-related papers.

Delivery Driver Requirements:

Availability to follow designated routes, timetables, safety procedures, and transportation rules
Good communication and task management skills
A valid driver’s license & good driving record.
Reliability is a must, we consistently deliver to the same customers every week & never let them down.
Time management and customer service abilities.
A capacity to drive, walk, lift, and carry stock
