We are seeking talented and experienced 3 Florist Part time assistants to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for floral design, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers. As a Florist, you will play a crucial role in creating stunning floral arrangements while also mentoring junior staff. Proficiency in English is highly desirable to cater to our diverse clientele.
Duties
- Design and create unique floral arrangements for various occasions, including weddings, corporate events, and special celebrations.
- Manage inventory of flowers and supplies, ensuring freshness and quality at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service by understanding client needs and offering expert advice on floral selections.
- Train and mentor junior florists in design techniques, customer interaction, and operational procedures.
- Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Sell floral products and services while promoting seasonal offerings to enhance sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with team members to execute large orders efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a florist or in a similar role within the floral industry.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with customers effectively; abilities are an advantage.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
- A keen eye for design with a solid understanding of colour theory and floral care techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating leadership qualities.
- A genuine passion for gardening and knowledge of various plant species is beneficial.
