We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely delivery of packages and documents, ensuring that all items are transported safely and securely. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage heavy lifting as part of daily responsibilities. A background in commercial driving or warehouse operations is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a van or similar vehicle to deliver goods to various locations.
- Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and receipts.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Assist in warehouse duties as required, including sorting and organising packages for delivery.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong driving skills with a valid driving licence suitable for commercial vehicles.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during loading and unloading processes.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is beneficial, including inventory management practices.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and time management.

Pay: £13.50-£16.36 per hour
