We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Building Services Apprentice to join our team on a full-time basis (Monday-Friday, days). This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment where you will gain hands-on experience across various building services disciplines. Some weekend or night shifts may be required, providing opportunities for additional development.
Job Description
As an apprentice, you will build on your existing commercial experience in electrical maintenance or building services while pursuing or completing Level 2 or Level 3 Electrical qualifications. You will also develop a diverse skill set, including plumbing, mechanical repairs, drainage systems, leak investigations, and general maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical components.
Perform tasks related to landlord repairs, including washroom maintenance, tiling, and other general upkeep activities.
Support investigations and resolution of issues such as leaks and drainage concerns.
Work closely with experienced engineers, adopting a forward-thinking approach to ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Take ownership of tasks you are confident in performing while demonstrating a willingness to learn and grow in other areas.
Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures while maintaining a tidy and organized workspace.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
• Eligible to work in UK
• Ideally fluent in English language
• Good attitude and well presented
• Ideally already enrolled in Electrical Installation / Maintenance Level 2 or 3
Someone eager to develop practical engineering skills in a supportive learning environment.
A proactive, enthusiastic attitude with a "get up and go" approach to learning.
Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering quality work.
Willingness to develop a broad skill set and embrace new challenges.
