We are currently looking for a Neighbourhood Caretaker - 30 hours to join our Estates Services Team. The Communal Services Team provides a high standard of communal services to Octavia Housing properties, tenants and leaseholders. As a Neighbourhood Caretaker you will ensure that the properties and surrounding area you deliver a service to, will be clean, tidy, safe, secure and in good condition, both by direct action and by monitoring of estate services provided by contractors.
As this is a neighbourhood position it is essential that you are based within close proximity of W11.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Ensuring shared areas are cleaned to a high standard including regular sweeping of external areas, removing litter from communal gardens, cleaning internal areas, prompt removal of graffiti and carry out gardening as required.
- Reporting and follow up all communal repairs.
- Be point of contact for all contractors, developers, managing agents, local authorities, and emergency services on site.
- Monitor the performance of our contractors, including raising performance issues and attending contract/performance meetings as required.
- Assist us with obtaining quotes for improvements works, including overseeing works and assisting with resident consultation.
- Reporting accidents in the accident report book.
- Participating in site inspections.
- Providing advice/signposting residents to other services, and reporting any support needs to the Housing Services Team.

- Experienced in cleaning and caretaking.
- Knowledgeable of health and safety practices including COSHH and Manual Handling
- Able to carry out basic DIY / maintenance tasks
- Able to carry out physical tasks on a daily basis
The salary for this role is £28,911 per annum plus fantastic benefits including up to 10% pension contributions.
