HR Degree Apprenticeship

Hours: Monday – Friday 36 hours per week
Qualification: 3-year programme covering Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (Level 6)
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £25,082 rising each year

We have an exciting opportunity for the right people to join our HR team through our brand-new HR Degree Apprenticeship Programme, First Class Futures, starting September 2025.

Our First Class Futures Programme provides unique exposure and development across the HR function to gain the skills, knowledge, and experience to kickstart a successful career in HR. During the 3 year scheme, you will gain first hand HR experience through 3 placements, whilst also being supported to complete a fully funded Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (Level 6) with Corndel College London.
Placement areas include:
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): helping us achieve our goal to be an employer of choice across the diverse communities we serve by creating a workplace where colleagues feel they belong and can thrive
- HR Business Partnering: working as part of a team of 60 colleagues helping business leaders to successfully implement Royal Mail’s HR priorities
- HR Service Delivery: being part of the team which provides the core services our people expect day in, day out (including recruitment, employee relations, pay and pensions)
- Reward, policy and performance: helping us to understand the impact HR is having across Royal Mail and using this to create the right policies and approaches to make things even better
- Talent: enabling us to understand the talent that exists across Royal Mail and what we might need in the future, including the development of new talent programmes (e.g. apprenticeships, graduate schemes, leadership development)
- Wellbeing: ensuring our team of 125,000 colleagues have access to the support and services they need to improve their health and wellbeing
Apprenticeship Overview
Our HR team partners and collaborates with leaders across the business to deliver an HR Strategy that is directly linked to business priorities. It is important that HR professionals truly understand the business to identify where they can add value and enable our people to be at their best; therefore, we have chosen to offer a Chartered Manager Degree as part of this programme to help you understand how our business works, create solutions for sustainable business change and become a trusted HR consultant.

You will also have
- Level 2/GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or higher
- Level 3 qualification (A Level/equivalent at grade BBB+/ 120 UCAS Tariff points)
