Front of House Supervisor The Portland Hospital, Great Portland Street, London Full time, 40 per week Shifts between 0800 and 1730 Monday - Friday with weekends required on rotation. Bank holidays and night shifts will also be required to meet operational needs Permanent Up to £29,469 per annum + excellent benefits We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Front of House Supervisor to lead and support our front-line teams, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service. You will play a key role in maintaining a welcoming and efficient environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent leadership and communication skills, who is committed to upholding the highest standards of patient experience. The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly, including weekends, bank holidays, and night shifts, as required to meet the operational needs of the hospital. What you'll do: Supervision and Leadership: Provide day-to-day supervision of the front of house team, ensuring all staff deliver excellent customer service in line with hospital policies and procedures Hospital Rounds: Conduct regular rounds across the hospital to monitor the front of house operations, ensuring all areas are well-maintained, clean, and welcoming Patient Satisfaction: Act as a point of contact for patients and visitors, addressing concerns promptly and effectively to improve overall patient satisfaction. Identify opportunities for service improvement and implement appropriate changes Security and Safety: Collaborate with the security team, conducting routine checks to ensure security personnel are present and performing their duties effectively. Report any concerns promptly to the relevant departments Team Development: Provide training, mentoring, and ongoing support to front of house staff to enhance service delivery and promote a positive work environment Communication: Liaise with clinical and non-clinical teams to ensure seamless coordination of services and resolve any operational issues Incident Management: Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm and professional manner, following established procedures Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records, complete reports, and provide feedback to management on service performance What you'll bring: Proven experience in a supervisory role within a customer-facing environment, ideally within a healthcare setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure Experience in a hospital or healthcare environment is highly desirable Familiarity with security procedures and incident management Why HCA UK?
