We are recruiting a Sheltered Cleaner to join us on a part time permanent basis. Within the role, you would be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of all communal areas at Incommunities sheltered scheme based in Keighley.
This role is based at Farish House, Aireworth Street in Keighley.
20 hours per week - Monday to Friday (4hrs per day). Flexible on start / finish time as long as the hours are completed between the hours of 9am - 4pm.

Duties include:
- Clean and maintain the cleanliness of all communal internal areas in Incommunities sheltered scheme, including, offices, stairwells, fire escapes, landings, toilets, shower rooms, kitchens, lifts, descaling shower areas, meeting rooms, internal glazing and public reception areas
- Clean and maintain the cleanliness of all external areas around Incommunities sheltered scheme, including sweeping bin/smoking areas, rotating bins, litter picking grounds and car park, wiping external window ledges and external lights
- Deep clean designated areas such as kitchens and appliances such as ovens/extractor fans, fridges, carpets and upholstery when required
- Use hand and power operated cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, mops and brushes, ensuring all equipment is safe to use, complies with relevant Health & Safety regulations and that all safety advice and instructions are adhered to
- Carry out daily safety and cleanliness checks on equipment and report faults when identified, stock taking and ordering of materials such as chemicals
- Carry out risk assessments prior to commencement of tasks and report on any hazards identified
- Ensure works areas, locations and sites are safe and secure and reporting issues or repairs identified
About you
- Have experience in an industrial setting such as an office, building, retail cleaning environment
- Previously used a range of hand tools and/or power operated cleaning equipment
- Use a computer at a basic level and have previously used Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Are able to read and understand instructions on cleaning materials and complete documentation
- A flexible and positive approach to work
- A basic knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety Legislation.
- Self motivation and the ability to be a team player but also work alone.
- Salary £13,287.02 (this is pro rata from the FT Salary £24,581)
