The Procurement Team are a key function within the day to operations of Places for People. This is an exciting time to be joining as we embark on our next phase of growth.
More about your role
Reporting to the Category Manager of Corporate Spend, we are looking to hire a Buyer on a permanent basis. Based in Preston one day a week, you will support various projects with a focus on indirect categories. In addition, you will provide support on governance, policies and reporting procedures around suppliers.
On a daily basis, provide good and effective supplier management. You will ensure departmental savings, value for money and possess market knowledge.

The ideal candidate will have
- Experience within Procurement,
- Experience of assisting with tendering,
- Experience or an understanding of the housing sector,
- Excellent communication skills,
- Good time management,
