Full time 42 Hours per week (Shifts are Monday to Sunday 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am. Will be 4 days on and 4 days off including bank holidays)

Role Overview
As a Security Supervisor, you will act as the reference point for Security matters, maintaining systems, processes and procedures. You’ll be performing security audits and generally assuring the safety and welfare of all staff, patients and visitors.
You’ll help us make health happen by:
Each Supervisor will have a specific responsibility for one of the following specific functions within the department: Fire and Emergency Planning, Access Control and CCTV, Investigations and Incidents, Health and Safety and Internal and external audits.
Recognise and respond in an appropriate and proportionate manner to any situation which has the potential to threaten the safety or security or well-being of the hospital, its patients, visitors and staff.
Carry out security audits and risk assessments and plan, design and maintain effective control measures and periodically review the effectiveness and applicability of those control measures to meet the changing and developing needs of the business.
Maintain effective logs and records of all departmental activity. Promote, support and encourage the seamless flow of information both to and from the Security team and between the Security team and the hospital at large, so as to be able to anticipate, rather than be reactive to, changing circumstances within the hospital.
Train and develop, mentor, and support the Security Officers so as to equip them with the knowledge and skills they need to perform effectively and to cement them into a working group that thinks and acts as one body whilst recognising and building on those individual skills and personal qualities essential to a forward-looking, learning organisation.
Ensure that the Security Officers present themselves for duty in a timely manner and are dressed and equipped to maintain and display at all times the highest professional standards.
Plan and implement work rotas so as to ensure that effective shift cover is maintained at all times. Monitor department members attendance and punctuality, this is to include timekeeping and readiness to perform duty at shift start time.
Manage and monitor your team's performance, set goals/targets, and have regular conversations about them. Review and set a performance rating for each member of your team at the end of the year.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
Previous experience as a Supervisor/Team leader within Security – around 2/3 years
Experience working in security in a Hospital or Hotel setting
Knowledge and experience working with emergency plans and procedures.
Must have an SIA Licence
Experience with Access control and CCTV systems.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
IT Literate – knowledge of Microsoft office and outlook
