Job Description
Under the guidance of the Technical Service Manager, you will carry out all aspects of mechanical maintenance, repairs, and installations, ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with compliance standards.
You’ll also respond to and resolve reactive repairs within agreed timescales, contributing to the smooth and comfortable running of the school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Report daily to the Help Desk & Technical Service Manager
Diagnose faults and complete installations independently
Carry out PPM, breakdown, testing, and installation tasks
Maintain detailed records for reporting and stats
Work on various systems including HVAC
Participate in on-call rota (approx. 1 in 3 weeks) with allowance
Support downtime reduction and cost-saving initiatives
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Experience working in plant rooms and pool plant rooms
Skilled in completing PPM and reactive maintenance
Qualified with F-Gas certification
Holds NVQ or City & Guilds in Air Conditioning
