We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in our care. This role involves engaging with children through play, educational activities, and ensuring their overall well-being. A passion for working with children and the ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents are essential.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor the safety of children in your care at all times.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
- Prepare meals and snacks, ensuring dietary needs are met.
- Maintain a clean and organised environment, including play areas and equipment.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Assist with homework and educational activities as needed.
- Provide emotional support to children, helping them develop confidence and independence.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for all children.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in childcare or a related field is preferred but not essential.
- A genuine love for working with children and a strong understanding of child development principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children and parents alike.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly.
- First Aid certification is an advantage but can be obtained after hiring.
- A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one is required.
