Job Description
The Electrical Compliance Engineer will be responsible for carrying out electrical testing (EICR) and associated remedial works within retail, commercial, and office environments, ensuring full compliance with industry regulations.
Working hours can be flexible, particularly during school holidays, allowing for a balance between standard working hours and additional overtime where desired. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to complete works to a high standard, be fully conversant with BS7671: 18th Edition wiring regulations, and possess the initiative to work independently while maintaining compliance and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Completing Fixed Wire Testing and EICRs across various contracts
Creating and managing remedial work plans
Electrical Inspection and Testing in compliance with BS7671: 18th Edition
Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently
High standards of quality, service, and presentation
Ensuring statutory compliance and company regulations adherence
Strong customer service and liaison skills
Proper maintenance of personal and vehicle records
Awareness of contractual requirements and customer expectations
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
City & Guilds 2391 Test & Inspection
Electrical Installations NVQ or C&G qualification
Experience with Fixed Wire Testing in a commercial environment
