The Role:
Within Property Services we are looking for an experienced Building Surveyor committed to progressing their careers in a friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary team of over 300 property professionals.
We are a high-performing County Council with a focus on providing quality services and support to the people of Hampshire. We are very proud that our teams are so committed to delivering the high standards that our strong reputation is built on.
You will carry out condition surveys ahead of major programmes of work to identify maintenance and repairs required to these buildings. You will manage the quality of contractors’ work on our sites via regular onsite inspections and site meetings, whilst working on a range of public buildings throughout the whole of Hampshire and potentially some buildings on the Isle of Wight and other neighbouring local authorities. The type of programmes of work you might deal with includes external decoration and repair.
The work is varied as Hampshire County Council has an extensive portfolio of properties including libraries, museums, country parks, schools, care homes, offices, activity centres, farms and supports some external clients. The property portfolio ranges from new builds through to ancient scheduled monuments and listed buildings.
