The National Real Estate, Technical Services Team requires an engaged, organised and hardworking assistant to join our national projects team as a maternity cover! The role will cover administration support, stakeholder engagement, program delivery and document creation that are cascaded across the business. Examples of tasks; minute taking, memo creation, raising purchase orders, Invoicing, building works programs, creating cascade documents, high level analysis, stakeholder engagement/management both internal and external.
The role is multi-faceted and will include tasks across a range of different projects. The successful individual must be willing to work on a diverse range of tasks simultaneously, have strong attention to detail, feel comfortable independently driving their workload to meet deadlines, and be proactive in pushing projects forward to completion. Key skills needed are a strong proficiency in Microsoft platforms, with experience on SAP Ariba desirable but not essential.
This role is a 12 month maternity cover to start June 2025.
Your New Role
Consulting Responsibility
- Liaising with internal and external auditors and external bodies when required
- Liaising with the professional team when required
Responsibility of Action
- Responsible for receiving daily external email
- Maintaining Real Estate files as appropriate
- Controlling property exchange documentation and process
- Controlling and maintains Land Registry Certificate records
- Controlling the return of construction agreement bonds or deposits
- Maintaining archive/safe contents/location listings
- Ensuring National and Internation deadlines are complied with for own area of responsibility
- Ensuring the security of documentation and electronic data
- Completing end to end process at all financial milestones
- Checking the accuracy of orders for equipment and services, ensuring the correct account allocation
- Maintaining systems and databases as appropriate
- Maintaining an efficient and well organised filing system
- Ensuring that all documentation is archived orderly for the correct period and arranges its disposal at the end of the archive period
- Works in accordance with the ALDI GB & IE Code of Conduct
About You
- Real Estate experience
- An understanding of HVAC & Refrigeration (desirable)
- Invoicing experience
- Experience assisting in Project Management
- SAP Ariba experience (desirable)
- APM or Prince training (desirable)
- Agile & Scrum training (desirable)
- Proficiency in MS Office packages including Word, Powerpoint and Excel.

- Salary starting £36,625 rising to £42,270 (12 month fixed term contract)
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of 2 day a week remote working
