HGV 1 Driver - shunting/delivery - Warehouse & Forklift – Saturday a.m.
Job description
Purpose and objectives of the role:
To shunt various vehicle throughout our two yards
To distribute/collect pallets promptly to/from depot. You will represent our company in a professional and cost effective manner aiming at increasing profitability and customer satisfaction
To load/unload various vehicle in our yard, plus warehouse duties
Main duties and responsibilities
To shunt the various vehicles during the morning shift within our two yards
Occasionally you might be asked to make a delivery/collection of palletised freight within the local area. This might involve using a tail-lift and could be in a vehicle from 3.5T to 18T
Scan freight using handheld scanners
Report any discrepancies
Assist with Loading vehicles using Counterbalance Forklifts
Follow DVSA regulations and Health & Safety standards
Qualifications
HGV Class 1 License
Forklift Experience required
Skills
Proven working experience as an HGV Driver
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Good driving record with no/minor traffic violations
Experience
Holder of an HGV License for a minimum of 1 year preferred
Forklift/Warehousing essential
THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT A RETIRED DRIVER,
You need to be physically fit and able to open/close Curtainsided vehicles

· 6.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. Saturday ONLY
