The Clinical Service Manager oversees the delivery of value-based healthcare through case management, claims adjudication, and medical policy services 24/7/365 globally. Embracing continuous improvement, the role ensures the quadruple aims of funded healthcare: strong customer experience, excellent clinical outcomes, provider engagement, and cost containment for better value healthcare.
You will ensure agreed medical assistance services are delivered at all times within the Healthcare Management Department through effective leadership of clinical teams and Medical Policy consultants across the region.
How you’ll help us make health happen:
- Deliver global clinical claims management and support services
- Manage high cost/complex claims and cost avoidance strategies
- Coach, develop, and lead a highly skilled team of health professionals
- Works closely with the Healthcare Management and Clinical Governance team to ensure that processes across Clinical Operations are effective and support the best clinical and customer experience
- Collaborate with Continuous Improvement partners, Medical Policy, and internal Clinical Governance partners
- Resolve customer clinical reviews and emergency assistance issues identified by the team
- Ensure outstanding customer satisfaction - Identify and remove barriers impacting customer satisfaction
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
- You will be a qualified and registered clinician (nurse / doctor or allied health professional)
- Previous/current experience in medical health insurance
- Data management experience in a clinical environment
- Proven track record in leading teams for hospital, community, or digital health services
- Skilled in establishing performance management culture and managing remote, multicultural teams
- Excellent communication and influencing skills for remote team success
- Experience in project management, quality and process improvement initiatives
